Changes to the newsletter
Now that MyTeacherAide is in full swing, I’m going to bring the AI for Teachers Digest under the MyTeacherAide umbrella.
I say this so that if you get an email from paul@myteacheraide.com, it’s simply the same old newsletter under a different brand!
Next week - the final AI for Teachers Digest for the year - will come from the new address.
Just a heads up!
How are our students using AI?
This may sound controversial, but here we go:
As we look back on the first half of the 21st century - the big disruptor will not be COVID.
It will be Artificial Intelligence.
AI has already changed education more than we realise, and the rate of change is accelerating.
If we are going to shepherd our learners through this unique point in history, we need to hear their voices.
Recently, much work has been done on the idea of student voice. Surveys aren’t the be-all and end-all of hearing from our learners, but I’ve found them a great conversation starter.
I’ve created a simple survey that you can use with your students to gather data about their use of AI.
Let’s be honest - classes can get pretty relaxed in the final weeks of the year. Why not use this time to gather important data for your teachers and leaders?
In my experience, students are often further ahead of the teachers when it comes to knowledge and use of AI.
Why not hear what they have to say?
You can access the survey here.
NOTE - This survey is intended as a resource for you and your school. Please ensure you make your own copy of the survey so I do not have access to the data. As a default, the data is set not to gather email addresses. You can change this in the settings.
The MyTeacherAide pilot has finished!
After months of planning and preparation, the initial pilot testing of our AI for teachers is complete.
The results we found were nothing short of remarkable.
Here are the key insights from our 500-strong pilot cohort:
94% “I wish I had MyTeacherAide when I started teaching”
88% “I would be more likely to differentiate for my learners if using MyTeacherAide”
97% “The platform was easy and intuitive to use”
100% “MyTeacherAide reduced stress and helped me manage my workload”
While the data is helpful, the written feedback encouraged me the most.
This was my favourite piece of feedback:
"I created an entire unit in a day! Including lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, unit overview, and parent letter. This would have taken my whole summer holidays!"

If you want to get a feel for how the tools work but missed the pilot, our tutorial videos (featuring yours truly!) will give you a good idea of how everything works.
Lastly, I’d like to encourage you to check out our school plans and our individual plans. The plans are now available; if you want to talk further, shoot me an email at paul@myteacheraide.com
Blessings
